Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and keep our data practices first-party by design. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Overview
Modern Mold & Tool ("Modern Mold & Tool," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have when you visit our website, request a quote, contact us, apply for a job, or otherwise interact with us.
We are a first-party-only business. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, the Meta/Facebook pixel, or other third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site. The analytics we run are our own, and the information we collect stays within our systems except in the limited, privacy-protective ways described in this Policy.
By using this site you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
We collect the information you choose to give us — for example when you submit a Request for Quote (RFQ), contact us, or send a career inquiry. Depending on the form, this may include:
- Your name
- Business email address
- Company name
- Phone number
- Job function or role
- Project details you provide, such as industry, estimated volumes, manufacturing processes, timeline, and any notes or specifications
- Files you upload, such as CAD models and engineering drawings
- Any other information you include in your message
Information we collect automatically
When you visit the site, our own first-party analytics records limited, largely non-identifying information about your visit, including:
- An anonymous identifier we assign to your browser
- Pages you view, page titles, and the order in which you view them
- The website or source that referred you, and campaign parameters in the URL such as UTM tags and advertising click identifiers (for example gclid, gbraid, and wbraid)
- General device and browser information
- Interactions with the site, such as clicks on calls-to-action, phone and email links, and downloads
- Your IP address, which our servers use transiently for security and rate-limiting
Before any analytics event is stored, we scrub personal information from it on both your browser and our server. Query strings are sanitized, and values that look like emails, phone numbers, or other identifiers are dropped or redacted. Our behavioral analytics events are designed not to contain your name, email, phone number, or address.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser local-storage entries to make the site work and to understand how it is used. See "Cookies and Your Choices" below.
Our First-Party Approach
Most websites load third-party tags that send your browsing data to outside advertising and analytics networks. We have deliberately chosen not to. On this site there is:
- No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics / GA4)
- No tag managers (no Google Tag Manager)
- No social or advertising pixels (no Meta/Facebook, TikTok, or similar pixels)
- No global data layer exposed to third parties
Instead, we operate our own first-party analytics and lead-intelligence system. We use the information to understand interest in our manufacturing capabilities, respond to inquiries, and improve the site. The only sharing we do for advertising measurement is described in "Advertising and Conversion Measurement," and it uses pseudonymized (hashed) data.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your RFQs, questions, and other requests
- Prepare quotes and communicate with you about potential or existing projects
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the site
- Understand which content and capabilities are of interest (first-party analytics and lead intelligence)
- Measure the effectiveness of our marketing, including advertising
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request — to respond to RFQs and provide quotes
- Our legitimate interests — to operate and improve the site, run first-party analytics, and pursue business development, balanced against your rights
- Your consent — for the advertising-measurement sharing described below, where required
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
Advertising and Conversion Measurement
We run advertising on platforms such as Google and LinkedIn. To measure whether those ads lead to inquiries — without placing third-party pixels on this site — we use server-side conversion measurement:
- When you submit an inquiry that we attribute to an ad, we may send the advertising platform a one-way SHA-256 hash (a pseudonymized, irreversible fingerprint) of your email address and/or the advertising click identifier associated with your visit (such as gclid, gbraid, or wbraid).
- This lets the platform confirm a conversion occurred and credit the campaign. We do not send your name, raw email, phone number, message, or uploaded files for this purpose.
This sharing only occurs where you have granted advertising consent. The platforms act as independent controllers of the hashed data they receive; please review Google's and LinkedIn's own privacy policies for how they process it. You can prevent this sharing by declining analytics/advertising consent.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to manage an inquiry or project relationship, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations — after which we delete or de-identify it. Anonymous and aggregated analytics may be retained for longer.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, authenticated session-based administrative access, and the PII-scrubbing measures described above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information
- Receive a copy in a portable format
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell, and we limit sharing to the measurement described above)
- Withdraw consent, and object to or restrict certain processing
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. You have the right to exercise the choices above and not to receive discriminatory treatment for doing so.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request as required by law and respond within applicable timeframes, and you may use an authorized agent where permitted.
Children's Privacy
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
The site may link to third-party websites and resources we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices.
